About the Job
AI Lead
Brand Aid Group | Job description | October 2026
About Brand Aid Group
Brand Aid Group is a marketing execution platform for the Middle East. We design, produce and deliver point-of-sale materials, permanent in-store visibility, fit-outs and showrooms, events, activations and exhibitions for the region's biggest consumer brands.
1,200 people. 9 markets across the Gulf, Egypt and the Levant. 11 production facilities, the largest in Cairo and Erbil. Six business units, each with its own P&L: POSM, Studio, Events & Activations, Exhibition, In-Store and Outsource.
Over the last 18 months we rebuilt the company. One ERP across the group. One structure. One way of running every market. The infrastructure is in place. Now we want to put AI to work inside it.
The role
Title: AI Lead
Reports to: Group CEO
Location: Dubai or Cairo, with regular time in our other markets
Type: Full time
You will be our first AI hire. The mandate is simple: take the Studio, our costing and our client service to a different level using AI. Not a lab. Not a pilot deck. Working tools used every day by designers, estimators and account managers.
You will not build alone or in a corner. You build with the people who do the work today, and you make them better at it. You get a tools budget, direct access to the CEO and the authority to change how things are done.
What you will do
Three places to start.
1. Studio. Our designers across 9 markets brief, concept, adapt, localise and version work all day. Put AI into that flow: briefing, concepting, adaptation across markets and languages, asset management. Give every country manager a live view of what their designer is working on and how utilised they are. Less repetitive work, more ideas.
2. Costing. Quotes today depend on experience and spreadsheets. Build estimation tools that learn from thousands of past jobs in our ERP, so a standard quote goes out in hours, not days, and margins stop surprising us after the job is done.
3. Client service. Faster brief intake, automatic status updates and reporting, quicker answers to clients. Account managers spend less time chasing and more time selling.
Under all three:
• Fix the data first. Clean job, cost and pricing data in the ERP, so the tools have something to learn from.
• Buy before build. Pick tools, negotiate them, plug them into what we already have. Build only where nothing fits.
• Set the rules. Client IP, data security, what goes into which model and what never does.
• Train people. Designers, estimators, account managers. Measure adoption, not demos.
• Report results to the CEO every month: hours saved, margin protected, turnaround cut.
What success looks like
Six months in:
• One tool live and in daily use in each of the three areas, with usage numbers to prove it.
• Job cost data clean enough to learn from in our two largest markets.
• A written AI playbook: what we use, what we do not, and why.
Twelve months in:
• Quote turnaround on standard jobs cut from days to hours.
• Studio output up with the same headcount, and utilisation visible by market.
• Client reporting and status updates automated for our top accounts.
• A roadmap for the next phase and the case for the team you need to deliver it.
Who you are
• 5+ years shipping software, automation or data products inside an operating business. Not a research lab.
• 2+ years putting large language models and AI tools into real workflows that non-technical people use every day.
• Hands-on. You build with current AI APIs, no-code and low-code tools, and you connect them to an ERP. Odoo experience is a strong plus.
• You have worked near creative production, marketing services, agencies or manufacturing. You know that a design file, a quote and a client brief are not just rows in a database to the people who make them.
• You explain things simply. A designer, an estimator and a CFO all understand you. English is a must. Arabic helps.
• You are comfortable in a fast, unpolished, multi-country business and happy to spend time in Cairo, Riyadh and Erbil.
• You ship. Small, early, imperfect, then better.
Not for you if
• You want to research models rather than put them to work.
• You need a big team before you can start. You get a tools budget and the CEO's backing. The team comes with results.
• Nobody outside your own function has ever used something you built.
• You think the hard part is the technology. Here the hard part is 1,200 people changing how they work.
