Role Description The Senior Accountant will manage and oversee daily accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for Western Company for Textiles & Ready-Made Garments. Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, monitoring cash flows, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role will involve preparing financial statements, analyzing cost and inventory data related to textile and garment production, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with management to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist in internal and external audits. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tanta.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in general accounting, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with cost accounting, inventory control, and production-related financial analysis, preferably within textiles, apparel, or manufacturing.
Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures; experience supporting audits is an advantage.
Ability to work with accounting software and ERP systems, including strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and management.
