Role Description The Senior ERPNext Developer (Frappe and AI) will design, develop, and maintain ERPNext modules and custom applications on the Frappe framework, with a strong focus on process automation and AI-driven features. - Own the full AI pipeline, from prompts and embeddings to vector search (RAG), tool calling, guardrails, and evaluation
- Pick the right model for each job (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or open-source) and balance cost, speed, accuracy, and privacy.
- Use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot every day, and review AI-written code with a senior eye.
- Turn BRDs into clean, upgrade-safe Frappe apps with DocTypes, controllers, workflows, permissions, and reports
- Build the APIs that connect ERPNext with our Flutter mobile apps and other systems.
- Review code and mentor the team on AI
- Test your own work, find gaps, and work through our GitHub workflow and Jira.
What we need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 2+ years of real Frappe/ERP Next development (custom code, not just configuration)
- Strong Python and JavaScript, and solid MariaDB/MySQL
- Working knowledge of Node.js
- Experience building REST APIs in Frappe and beyond, including APIs for mobile apps (no mobile development needed)
- Frappe internals like hooks, controllers, background jobs, caching, permissions, and whitelisted APIs
