Role Description The Storekeeper role is a full-time, on-site position based at Gawharet Al-Ahram Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, unloading, and verifying deliveries, ensuring that all items match purchase orders and quality standards. This role includes organizing and packing goods in designated storage areas, maintaining accurate inventory records, and monitoring stock levels to support hotel operations. The Storekeeper will coordinate with purchasing and other hotel departments to manage stock replenishment, conduct regular inventory counts, and follow safety and housekeeping procedures in the storeroom. The position requires adherence to hotel policies, secure handling of materials, and effective communication with colleagues and vendors. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock records and support uninterrupted hotel operations. Candidates should possess skills in Packing and Unloading to handle goods efficiently, safely, and in an organized manner. Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation or similar material-handling equipment to move and store supplies safely (certification is an advantage). Basic numeracy and computer skills (e.g., using inventory software or spreadsheets) to record, track, and report stock levels. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure correct labeling, storage, and rotation of items. Ability to perform manual handling tasks, follow safety guidelines, and maintain a clean, orderly storeroom.
