We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Pharma Business Unit Head to lead the overall performance, growth, and transformation of our pharmaceutical business. The role carries end-to-end P&L accountability, overseeing commercial strategy, category management, procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory optimization to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence Key Responsibilities Define and execute the Pharma Business Unit strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and growth plans. Own overall P&L performance, driving revenue growth, gross margin improvement, profitability, and budget achievement. Lead category management, assortment planning, pricing, merchandising, and portfolio development. Direct procurement strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and long-term supplier partnerships. Optimize inventory investment, working capital, Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC), demand planning, and product availability across the retail network. Lead annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and KPI performance reviews. Establish strong governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance frameworks. Drive business transformation, digitalization, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making. Develop high-performing leadership teams, strengthen succession planning, and foster cross-functional collaboration. Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, IT, HR, and other functions to deliver strategic business objectives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical retail, pharmacy, FMCG, commercial management, category management, or procurement. Significant leadership experience with demonstrated P&L ownership and business performance accountability. Strong expertise in commercial strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, financial planning, inventory optimization, and working capital management. Solid understanding of retail operations, demand forecasting, pricing, merchandising, governance, and business transformation. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and commercial analytics. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification and professional certifications are advantageous. Fluency in Arabic and English.
