We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on engineer who combines strong Full-Stack capabilities with deep specialization in B2B enterprise integrations, distributed systems, Node.js, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). The ideal candidate has proven experience connecting complex enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, enterprise databases, collaboration platforms, and third-party SaaS applications. You will take ownership of existing production integration components, refactor and scale complex architectures, and build secure, reliable connections between enterprise systems and AI-powered applications. This role requires an engineer who can independently own end-to-end technical challenges, make architectural decisions, and improve production systems without compromising existing functionality. 🔵 Key Responsibilities Take end-to-end ownership of enterprise integration architecture, APIs, and backend services. Design, build, and maintain integrations with ERP, CRM, enterprise databases, collaboration tools, and third-party SaaS platforms. Develop and maintain production-grade Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, tool schemas, and AI agent integrations. Build secure mechanisms for AI agents to retrieve information and execute authorized actions across enterprise systems. Refactor and optimize existing production code while preserving functionality and minimizing downtime. Design and develop scalable backend services using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js. Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mTLS, and RBAC. Ensure secure multi-tenant data isolation and proper access control across enterprise integrations. Implement advanced error handling, retries, circuit breakers, rate limiting, and idempotent operations. Design structured metadata, execution logs, and data traceability mechanisms to support auditing and source-level citations. Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration between backend services and user-facing applications. Optimize application performance, asynchronous processing, concurrency, and overall system reliability. Write and maintain automated tests to ensure stability and prevent regressions during refactoring. Participate in technical design discussions and make independent architectural decisions. Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, integrations, and distributed systems. Use AI coding assistants responsibly for development, refactoring, debugging, and testing while validating and improving the output. 🔵 Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of professional hands-on software engineering experience. Strong Full-Stack engineering background with exceptional depth in backend development and enterprise systems integration. Expert-level experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, including modern Node.js runtime environments. Extensive experience building and maintaining complex enterprise integrations involving ERP, CRM, SaaS APIs, and enterprise databases. Strong understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP), LLM function calling, structured outputs, and AI tool-calling architectures. Proven experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and complex third-party integration layers. Strong experience with distributed systems, asynchronous programming, concurrency, and backend architecture. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong understanding of enterprise authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mTLS, and RBAC. Solid knowledge of API security, multi-tenant architectures, and data isolation. Experience implementing reliable integration patterns, including retries, circuit breakers, rate limiting, and idempotency. Experience with structured data validation and schema-driven development, including Zod or equivalent validation approaches. Proven experience taking ownership of existing production codebases, refactoring legacy systems, and improving architecture without introducing regressions. Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices. Experience with automated testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting. Ability to understand complex existing systems and independently deliver production-ready solutions. Comfortable working in lean engineering teams with significant technical ownership and minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical decision-making skills. Experience with observability, distributed tracing, execution logging, and audit trails. Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or Codex.
