About the Job

Role Purpose We are looking for an Engineering Lead to take technical, delivery, and people leadership ownership of a new large-scale Learning Management System. The role will initially lead two engineering squads (approximately 10 engineers in total, including Squad Leads) and should be capable of growing into broader engineering leadership as the platform expands. Key Responsibilities  Own the overall technical direction and architecture of the LMS.  Partner closely with the Product Owner on features, priorities, risks, dependencies, scope, and delivery planning.  Lead through two Squad Leads and give them meaningful autonomy while maintaining cross-squad alignment.  Review major technical designs and cross-cutting decisions without becoming the approval point for every implementation detail.  Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, performance, documentation, and production readiness.  Identify technical and delivery bottlenecks early and drive resolution.  Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, coaching, career development, and succession planning.  Coordinate with the existing Examination Management System leadership where platforms, integrations, infrastructure, or standards intersect. Required Profile  Strong software engineering background and substantial experience building production systems.  Demonstrated technical leadership beyond a single small team; experience leading through Team Leads or Squad Leads is strongly preferred.  Strong software architecture and system-design skills covering APIs, data, integrations, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.  Experience delivering complex business-critical systems over multiple releases.  Practical people-management experience including hiring, coaching, feedback, and performance management.  Strong stakeholder communication and ability to work closely with Product, QA, DevOps/Platform, security, and business teams.  Experience with .NET is preferred.  High ownership, resilience, and sound decision-making under ambiguity Show more
