We’re looking for a Solution Engineer (Presales) to join our team and lead the technical solution design across Enterprise Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, and Hybrid Cloud environments. 📌 Job Title: Solution Engineer (Presales). 📍 Location: Fifth Settlement – New Cairo, Egypt 💼 Employment Type: Full-Time 🏢 Work Model: On-site 🎯 Experience: 5+ Years in Infrastructure | 2+ Years in Presales / Solution Engineering / Solution Architecture 🔹 THE ROLE As a Solution Engineer (Presales), you will work closely with customers, sales teams, OEMs, cloud providers, and implementation teams to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into high-quality infrastructure solutions and winning technical proposals. You will be responsible for evaluating and designing solutions across: 🖥️ Enterprise Servers & Compute 💾 Enterprise Storage ☁️ Hybrid & Public Cloud ⚙️ Virtualization & Hyperconverged Infrastructure 🔐 Backup, Disaster Recovery & High Availability 📊 Solution Sizing, Costing & TCO 🔹 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct customer discovery sessions and assess existing infrastructure, workloads, performance, availability, and security requirements. • Design enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, HCI, and hybrid cloud solutions, including capacity sizing, redundancy, scalability, and disaster recovery. • Evaluate virtualization and HCI platforms including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Nutanix HCI, and Dell VxRail. • Design cloud and hybrid cloud solutions using AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, considering connectivity, identity, backup, workload placement, data residency, and operating costs. • Prepare technical proposals, solution diagrams, BOM/BOQ, Statements of Work, compliance matrices, RFP/RFQ responses, and other technical documentation. • Coordinate with OEMs, distributors, cloud providers, and delivery partners to validate configurations, licensing, support coverage, implementation scope, and pricing. • Develop cost estimates and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) comparisons, clearly documenting assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, and technical risks. • Lead customer technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs). • Support technical clarifications, solution revisions, and negotiations throughout the sales cycle in collaboration with Account Managers. • Ensure a structured technical handover to implementation teams covering approved designs, scope, deliverables, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. 🔹 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ✔️ bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. ✔️ 5+ years of relevant infrastructure experience. ✔️ Minimum 2 years of experience in Presales, Solution Engineering, or Solution Architecture. ✔️ Proven experience designing and sizing enterprise compute, storage, virtualization, and HCI solutions. ✔️ Practical experience with at least one major public cloud platform, with the ability to evaluate solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. ✔️ Strong experience preparing technical proposals, BOMs, tender responses, and customer presentations. 🔹 TECHNICAL EXPERTISE 🖥️ Enterprise server architecture, CPU & memory sizing, workload assessment, and High Availability. 💾 SAN, NAS, and Software-Defined Storage, including capacity, IOPS, latency, throughput, and data protection. ⚙️ VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV, with familiarity with Nutanix and VxRail architecture and sizing. ☁️ Cloud compute, storage, networking, identity, backup, migration, and cost estimation. 🌐 Infrastructure networking fundamentals including VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and storage connectivity. 🔄 Backup & Disaster Recovery design, including RPO and RTO. 📋 Infrastructure licensing, subscriptions, support models, and lifecycle planning. 🔹 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ⭐ Certifications in Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. ⭐ OEM experience or certifications with HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, or comparable enterprise infrastructure vendors. ⭐ Experience in infrastructure migration, consolidation, automation, or Infrastructure as Code. ⭐ Experience supporting Systems Integrator projects and competitive enterprise tenders. 🔹 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical depth with commercial awareness — someone who can understand customer challenges, architect the right solution, explain technical trade-offs clearly, and help turn opportunities into successful projects. 🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 🔹 Excellent customer communication and presentation skills 🔹 Commercial awareness and attention to detail 🔹 Strong stakeholder management 🔹 Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines 🔹 Effective collaboration with Sales, Vendors, and Delivery Teams 🔹 Ownership mindset toward technical deliverables 🎯 READY TO DESIGN THE NEXT-GENERATION INFRASTRUCTURE?
