About the Job

Role Description The Checkpoint Math Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Qesm El Maadi. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the Checkpoint curriculum, ensuring clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes for learners at different levels. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, explaining mathematical concepts, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback and support. The role involves collaborating with academic leadership on curriculum implementation, maintaining accurate records of progress, and participating in meetings, professional development, and school events. The teacher is expected to create an inclusive, safe classroom environment, manage behavior effectively, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach Checkpoint-level content clearly and accurately. Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing structured schemes of work and assessments aligned with Checkpoint standards. Candidates should be a Qualified Teacher, holding relevant teaching credentials and experience in classroom instruction at the appropriate grade levels. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field; advanced certifications or training in Checkpoint or similar international programs are an advantage. Proven classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, learners, and families. Experience in using educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
