R&D Data Scientist

We are currently hiring a R&D Data Scientist (1 year contract) for a very well known multinational FMCG company located in Elsheikh Zayed, Cairo Egypt. Role Purpose: Support the R&D Formulation team in the development, testing, and optimization of product formulations across Personal Care and Oral care. Key Responsibilities: Support formulation development activities, including lab trials, weighing, and sample preparation under supervision. Assist in raw material evaluations and basic technical comparisons (e.g. surfactants, actives, thickeners). Support stability testing, data recording, and result summaries. Assist in compiling technical documentation, including formulation summaries and test reports. Support trials follow up and basic troubleshooting with guidance from senior formulators. Collaborate with Packaging, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams as part of project teams. Prepare basic presentations and summaries for internal project reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor’s student or fresh graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in R&D or Quality in plants, fresh grads are welcome with strong internships. Excellent command of English. Strong interest in product formulation and applied science. Analytical and problem solving mindset Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Good communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Willingness to learn and work in a lab environment Learning & Exposure: End to end exposure to the formulation development lifecycle. Hands on lab experience in a global FMCG R&D setup. Understanding of ingredient functionality, formulation tradeoffs, and product performance.
