Senior Site Engineer

Role Description The Senior Site Engineer role at Stoner Construction is a full-time, Site position based in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility for some work outside Cairo arrangements. The Senior Site Engineer oversees day-to-day site operations, ensuring construction activities align with project plans, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating with civil and structural engineers, supervising site teams, monitoring progress, and resolving technical issues on site. The role involves implementing quality control procedures, reviewing drawings and specifications, preparing site reports, and communicating effectively with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders. The Senior Site Engineer also supports project planning, risk management, and continuous improvement of site practices to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Qualifications Strong on-site supervision skills, including managing daily construction activities and ensuring adherence to safety and project standards. Excellent communication abilities for coordinating with project stakeholders, resolving issues, and providing clear site updates. Proficiency in quality control processes, including inspecting work, verifying compliance with specifications, and documenting findings. Solid background in structural engineering and experience collaborating closely with civil engineers on complex projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional certification or membership in relevant engineering bodies is an advantage. (7:10) years of experience in site engineering roles, preferably in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Egypt. Ability to use engineering and construction management software, as well as common productivity tools. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
