Role Description The Mechanical Piping Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, working within ATUM Integrated Services’ steel fabrication and civil works operations. This role involves designing, reviewing, and optimizing piping systems for industrial and construction projects, ensuring alignment with mechanical engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The specialist will prepare and interpret technical drawings and models, coordinate with fabrication and installation teams, and support quality control through inspections and reviews. Daily responsibilities include overseeing installation and maintenance activities, troubleshooting mechanical and piping issues, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, and supporting adherence to relevant codes and standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge with experience in piping systems and industrial projects with 2 years' experience Candidates should possess Maintenance skills related to mechanical and piping equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating, modifying, and reviewing piping layouts and mechanical drawings. Candidates should possess Inspection skills for evaluating piping installations, materials, and workmanship against quality and safety standards. Candidates should possess Automotive-related mechanical skills where relevant to industrial or project equipment use and maintenance. Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred. Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM) and familiarity with fabrication and construction environments is beneficial. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively on-site within multidisciplinary teams.
