Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in Alexandria. We are seeking a professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with analytical thinking, business awareness, and the ability to leverage modern technology and AI to improve financial processes and support decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, monitor performance, and analyze variances. Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and insights to support executive decision-making. Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit requirements. Partner with different business functions to provide financial insights, recommendations, and solutions. Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial processes using technology and AI. Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a foreign university or an English-taught program at an Arab university. Strong academic performance, particularly in Intermediate and Advanced Accounting. Strong written and spoken English. Solid experience in financial closing, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Zoho, or Odoo. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to operate as a finance business partner, not only in transactional accounting. High level of initiative, ownership, and ability to work independently. AI & Technology Skills Practical use of AI in finance and accounting is an important part of this role. Relevant experience may include: Using Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar AI tools in finance and accounting. Financial analysis and variance identification. Improving financial reports and management presentations. Supporting budgeting and forecasting. Reviewing contracts and financial documents. Supporting closing and audit working papers.
