Quality Control Engineer

Main Job Responsibilities: Design and execute test cases based on business and user requirements. Perform manual testing to verify software functionality and quality. Identify, document, and track software defects throughout the defect lifecycle. Report defects clearly and work closely with the development team to support resolution. Perform different testing activities as required, including functional, regression, and integration testing. Conduct basic API testing and validate web services. Perform basic database testing using SQL. Support test automation activities and work with automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright. Utilize AI tools to support testing activities and improve testing efficiency. Participate in cross-testing activities and support team members when needed. Participate in Agile ceremonies, project documentation, demos, and UAT activities as required. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, techniques, and best practices. Support the team in maintaining a high level of software quality. Collaborate with team members to identify potential quality risks and ensure they are properly communicated. Job Qualifications: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant faculties. 6 months to 1 year of experience in Software Quality Control / Testing. Technical Qualifications: Good understanding of software testing fundamentals and concepts. Good understanding of test design techniques and the defect lifecycle. Experience in writing and executing test cases. Ability to identify, document, and report software defects clearly. Basic knowledge of API testing. Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing. Basic knowledge of test automation. Familiarity with automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium. Familiarity with AI tools and their use in supporting testing activities. Familiarity with Agile practices. Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus. ISTQB Foundation Level certification is preferred. Non-Technical Qualifications: Very good communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to quality and detail. Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies. Good time management and organizational skills.
