About The Role Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, integration, deployment, and stabilization of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) across a multi-country rollout. The consultant will own solution quality from global-template decisions through country localization, testing, cutover, and hypercare, while remaining personally hands-on in the system. The initial delivery priority is Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom. The role will then extend the approved global template to Algeria, Spain, China, and Japan, balancing global consistency with statutory, regulatory, payroll, security, and data-privacy requirements in each country. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Own the EC workstream across discovery, fit-to-standard and localization workshops, solution design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, cutover, hypercare, and transition to support. Translate the global HR operating model into a scalable EC global template, clearly separating globally governed design from justified country-specific deviations. Configure and govern Foundation Objects, Generic Objects/MDF, Corporate and HRIS Data Models, country-specific fields, associations, picklists, validations, and effective-dated behavior. Design and configure business rules, workflows, event reasons, event derivation, alerts, notifications, and approval routing for hire-to-retire processes. Configure Position Management, organizational structures, incumbency and vacancy rules, position-to-job relationships, synchronization, and position-based workflows. Configure People Profile and relevant employee data sections, UI rules, field visibility, localization, and auditable data access. Configure Time Off and absence processes where in scope, including time types, work schedules, holiday calendars, accruals, eligibility, workflows, and downstream hand-offs. Design and implement Role-Based Permissions (RBP), target populations, permission groups, delegated access, privacy controls, and segregation-of-duties considerations. Define operational, audit, and reconciliation reporting using standard EC reporting tools; support dashboard or analytics requirements where applicable. Lead data migration strategy, templates, extraction/mapping, cleansing rules, transformation, load cycles, validation, reconciliation, defect resolution, and business sign-off. Prepare and lead system integration testing (SIT), support user acceptance testing (UAT), manage traceability and defects, and verify end-to-end scenarios across HR, identity, payroll, and downstream systems. Own cutover planning and rehearsals, production readiness, go-live execution, hypercare triage, stabilization, handover, and knowledge transfer. Control EC configuration promotion and release/transport management across environments, including change logs, dependencies, regression impact, release notes, and rollback considerations. Produce and maintain high-quality functional and technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration workbooks, field mappings, integration specifications, test evidence, cutover plans, operating procedures, and support guides. Geographic Scope Phase 1 — priority: Italy, Poland, United Kingdom. Immediate design authority and hands-on EC localization. Evidence of recent implementation delivery in these countries is a primary screening requirement. Phase 2 — extension: Algeria, Spain, China, Japan. Template extension with local legal, data, language, identity, payroll, integration, and operational requirements assessed and configured country by country. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERINCE Bachelor’s degree (or recognized equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is mandatory. Current SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification is mandatory and must be valid/verifiable at the time of submission and throughout the engagement, subject to SAP certification-maintenance requirements. 8–12+ years of SAP HCM and/or SAP SuccessFactors experience, with at least 5 years of deep, recent Employee Central implementation experience. Minimum four full-cycle EC implementations, including at least two delivered as the hands-on EC lead or senior solution/configuration lead. Demonstrable production implementations in multiple countries named in this description. Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom are the priority and must be evidenced clearly in the candidate profile. Strong understanding of global HR data, effective dating, employee lifecycle processes, organization and position structures, payroll touchpoints, security, auditability, and data governance. Proven ability to work directly with HR, IT, payroll, legal, privacy, information security, enterprise architecture, integration teams, local country teams, and third-party vendors. Professional English communication and documentation skills; Italian, Polish, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Japanese language capability is advantageous but not mandatory unless required by the assignment. Ability to travel to rollout locations and work across European and Asian time zones as agreed for the engagement.
