Role Description This is a full-time Commercial Pilot role with a hybrid work arrangement based in Cairo, Egypt, allowing for some administrative and planning tasks to be completed from home. The Commercial Pilot will operate hot air balloon flights, ensuring safe takeoff, flight, and landing in accordance with all aviation regulations and company procedures. Daily responsibilities include performing pre-flight inspections, monitoring weather conditions, planning flight routes, and conducting safety briefings for passengers. The pilot will manage in-flight navigation and communication, oversee passenger comfort and safety, and maintain accurate flight logs and operational records. The role also involves coordinating with ground crews, supporting maintenance scheduling, and occasionally assisting with training, customer communication, and operational planning tasks. Qualifications Valid commercial pilot license for balloon operations and compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and authorities. Proven experience piloting hot air balloons or similar aircraft, with strong skills in navigation, flight planning, and weather assessment. Demonstrated commitment to safety, including thorough pre-flight checks, risk management, and emergency preparedness. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to conduct clear safety briefings, interact with passengers, and coordinate with ground crews. Ability to work variable hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, in outdoor environments and changing weather conditions. Comfort with basic administrative tasks, such as maintaining flight records, reporting incidents, and supporting scheduling and operations. Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or additional languages is an advantage for working with diverse passengers.
