Senior Software Developer

Trufla

📍 Cairo, Cairo, Egypt💼 Full-time

About Trufla Trufla builds the digital infrastructure that Canadian P&C insurance brokerages run on: quoting, client portals, mobile apps, marketing automation, and the data products behind them. Our customers are brokers dealing with legacy systems, manual workflows, and too many hours in the day spent on work software that should have handled itself. We're a product company, not an agency — what we ship goes straight into the hands of brokers and their clients. Work Smarter, Not Harder: we mean it internally too, and that's a large part of what this role is about. About The Role We're hiring a Senior Software Developer who is strong on the fundamentals and already working the way the industry is heading. The job is still the job: design, build, and run production web software in Node.js and React. But how that work gets done has changed. Our engineers write specifications that agents implement, build the harnesses and evaluation loops those agents run inside, and spend proportionally more of their time on design, review, and verification than on typing out implementations. If you've been doing this genuinely, not just with autocomplete turned on, we want to talk. If you've been skeptical of it and have sharp, specific reasons, we want to talk to you too. What You'll Do Design and ship features end to end across our Node.js services and React front ends, from data model to deployed and monitored. Write specifications precise enough to be executed, covering clear contracts, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and failure modes. Treat those specs as the durable artifact, not a throwaway ticket description. Build and tune the loops: agent harnesses, tool definitions, context strategies, automated verification gates, and evals that tell you whether a change is actually correct before a human ever reads it. Review generated and human-written code with the same rigour, and know where the difference matters. Own production. Instrument what you ship, respond when it misbehaves, and fix the cause rather than the symptom. Raise the floor for the team through patterns, internal tooling, and documented practice that make the next person faster. Work directly with product and with the brokers who use what we build. Context is not filtered through three layers here. What We're Looking For Required 5+ years building and maintaining production software, with real ownership of what you shipped. Deep Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. You understand the runtime, not just the framework. Strong React, including state management, performance, and component design that survives contact with a growing codebase. Solid grounding in the boring essentials: relational data modelling, HTTP and API design, testing, CI/CD, Git. Working fluency in AI-assisted development as a discipline: spec-driven workflows, agentic development lifecycle practices, and the judgment to know when the loop is producing good work and when it's confidently wrong. Clear written communication. In a spec-driven team this is a core engineering skill, not a soft one. Comfortable collaborating with a distributed team across Canadian and Egyptian time zones. Nice to Have (any one of these is a plus, none are dealbreakers) Cloud and container experience (AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform). Observability tooling: structured logging, metrics, tracing. Mobile or cross-platform experience (React Native, Swift, Kotlin). Experience building internal developer tooling or frameworks. Insurance, fintech, or another regulated domain. How We Work Small teams, direct ownership, short path from idea to production. Specs and design docs over ad-hoc tickets. Automated verification before human review. We'd rather catch it in the loop. Tooling budget and time set aside to improve how we build, not just what we build. What We Offer Competitive salary Medical insurance, social insurance, and other benefits Hybrid attendance policy Access to the AI tooling you need to do this job properly A team that treats "how we build" as a real engineering problem How to Apply Upload Your Resume, And Complete The Assessment Below https://assessment.trufla.com Trufla is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and provide accommodation on request throughout the hiring process. Show more

Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Full-time)

Zettasoft-egypt

Remote
📍 Cairo, Egypt💼 Full-time

About Zettasoft Zettasoft is a software development company with offices in New York and Cairo. We solve business problems with technology, partnering with clients to design and build modern, AI-enabled platforms that move their business forward. You can learn more at zettasoft.com. About the Role We are building the next generation Cybersecurity Management Platform — a product that unifies security posture and response workflows into a single pane of glass, with LLM-powered automation at its core. This is a design-led product. Security tools have a reputation for being dense, hostile, and joyless to use; we are building the opposite. Pixel-perfect execution, considered motion, and a real human touch in every interaction are non-negotiable. We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer who treats the front end as a craft — someone who can take a Figma file and ship something that is, if anything, better than the design. You will own the front end end-to-end: architecture, component system, performance, accessibility, and the small details that separate a good product from a memorable one. You will work directly with design and backend, set the engineering bar for the front end, and shape how AI coding agents are used in our day-to-day workflow. What You'll Do • Build the product front end in TypeScript, React, and Next.js — with the App Router, Server Components, and modern data-fetching patterns. • Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces — spacing, typography, color, motion, and interaction states all matching intent. • Own and grow our component library and design tokens so the product stays visually and behaviorally consistent as it scales. • Sweat the details that give a product its human touch: empty states, loading states, error states, micro-interactions, keyboard flows, and the small moments of delight that make people actually enjoy using software. • Hold the line on accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), performance (Core Web Vitals), and frontend security (XSS, CSP, safe handling of untrusted data from a security product). • Partner closely with designers in Figma — giving feedback during design, flagging engineering trade-offs early, and pushing back when something can be better. • Use Claude Code, Codex, or similar AI coding agents as part of your daily workflow — delegating to them where it accelerates quality, and knowing when not to. • Own your work in production: observability, error tracking, performance budgets, and continuous improvement. • Raise the engineering bar through code review, design review, mentorship, and thoughtful technical writing. What We're Looking For Must-haves • 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience shipping production web applications in TypeScript and React. • Strong hands-on experience with Next.js — App Router, Server Components, routing, caching, and rendering trade-offs. • A demonstrable eye for craft and a track record of pixel-perfect execution. When we put your shipped work next to the Figma file, the differences are intentional, not accidental. • Working knowledge of Figma — you can navigate files, inspect specs, use components and variants, and have a productive conversation with designers in their tool. • Deep fluency with modern CSS — Flexbox, Grid, container queries, design tokens, and a utility-first or CSS-in-JS framework of your choice (Tailwind, CSS Modules, vanilla-extract, etc.). • Strong sense for accessibility, semantic HTML, keyboard interaction, and screen-reader behavior — not as a checklist, but as part of how you build. • Real-world experience with frontend performance: bundle analysis, code splitting, image optimization, and Core Web Vitals. • Solid command of REST API design — resource modeling, error semantics, pagination, caching — so you partner with backend on the contract rather than just consuming whatever ships. • Comfortable working from OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications — reading them fluently and using them to generate type-safe API clients and keep frontend and backend in sync. • DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines — GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent — building and maintaining automated test, preview, and deployment workflows. • You actively use and embrace AI coding agents — Claude Code, Codex, or similar — and can speak to how they have changed the way you ship code. • Clear written and verbal communication in English; comfortable collaborating across time zones with our New York team. Nice-to-haves • Experience designing or contributing to a design system at scale (tokens, primitives, documentation). • Experience with data-dense interfaces: dashboards, tables, charts, filters, real-time updates — the bread and butter of a security product. • Experience with motion libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP) and a feel for when motion adds meaning vs. noise. • Experience integrating LLM-powered features in the UI — streaming, tool/agent UX, and the design patterns that make AI feel trustworthy. • Familiarity with testing tooling (Playwright, Vitest, Storybook) and frontend security best practices (CSP, Trusted Types, sanitization). • A portfolio, GitHub, or live work that shows what you mean by craft. What We Offer • A senior seat on a small, design-obsessed team building a greenfield platform — your front-end decisions will define how the product feels for years. • A codebase where AI-assisted engineering is a first-class practice, not an afterthought. • Competitive compensation, meaningful scope, and a genuine voice in how the product and the engineering org are built. • Fully remote work from anywhere in Egypt. • A full-time role on a one-year renewable contract — with the clear expectation of long-term continuation for the right person, as the platform is a multi-year commitment. Senior Front-End Software Engineer (Remote)

Bask Health

📍 Egypt💼 Full-time

As an engineer at Bask you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure that will serve as the backbone of telehealth. We are looking to expand our software engineers, seeking those with deep rooted entrepreneurial spirit. Our serverless platform is a multi-tenant monorepo — Next.js and React on the front, tRPC and Prisma behind it, deployed on SST, TypeScript throughout. One engineer can follow a change from a form field to the database without crossing a team boundary. That's the point. Engineering at Bask Health is AI-first and builder-led. Work starts with general understanding of problem, moves to tools like Claude and Cursor for further investigation, making a plan and building, tested on staging with realistic data, released to production, tested with real patient and care teams, and then back for systems and polish. AI is a default part of how we work, not a side experiment — because moving fast in healthcare requires every advantage. We are looking for engineers who take end-to-end ownership, treat AI as a real collaborator, and care deeply about building software that meaningfully improves how healthcare is delivered. What You'll Do Design, build, and ship high-quality product experiences. Own key surfaces end to end, from concept through production. Write elegant, well-tested code — we have a real test suite and we intend to keep it that way. Work across the stack. Follow a feature from the interface through the API to the database. No handoffs, no waiting on another team. Work AI-first with Cursor and Claude Code. Use LLMs as your starting point. Draft intent, explore implementations, scaffold components, and refactor with AI in the loop. Apply your own judgment to meet the quality bar healthcare demands. Prototype fast and validate with real users. Build and test quickly with real patients and care teams. Use what you learn to refine before fully committing — especially in sensitive clinical contexts where getting it right matters. Build for scale and own the codebase. Translate product needs into reusable, well-architected patterns that make the next feature faster to ship. Make automation legible and trustworthy. Build systems that clearly communicate what AI and automation are doing on behalf of patients and providers. Earn trust through transparency, reliability, and thoughtful defaults. Champion performance, accessibility, and reliability. Ship work that is fast, robust, and accessible. Partner across the team to debug, optimize, and raise the bar over time. Share AI-native workflows. Document prompts, patterns, and workflows that work, so we move faster together without cutting corners that matter to patient outcomes. We are a highly collaborative team. Requirements A full-stack generalist who has taken a product from 0 to 1 and can apply that instinct inside a system that already has real patients on it. Entrepreneurial, willing to roll up their sleeves, and drawn to a mission that disrupts how healthcare gets delivered. 6+ Years of experience You are dangerous on the frontend of the stack. You are a highly skilled dev (React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind and JavaScript). You also have backend skills (tRPC, Drizzle ORM, SQL, Node, SST). You can work independently and are comfortable owning entire projects or large areas of the codebase. Strong experience building paid products and services is preferred. React Native or Expo experience is a plus. You are a strong communicator, able to clearly articulate technical problems, constraints, and timelines. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured, startup environment. Show more
