Your Mission
We are hiring a Business Analyst / Product Owner to act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams for a global pharmaceutical company. The role combines digital business partnership, product ownership, business analysis and delivery coordination across a portfolio that includes the company s digital ecosystem and AI-enabled solutions.
You will work with the client s stakeholders, technology teams and third-party partners to identify opportunities, shape solution direction, translate business needs into clear requirements, manage priorities, and support delivery, adoption and continuous improvement. The role calls for independent execution, sound judgement and the ability to influence across a complex global organization without direct authority. You will also deliver training to groups, online or on site.
We are looking for people who can show practical experience as both a Product Owner and a Business Analyst. Experience limited to Scrum ceremonies or project administration will not cover the full scope of this role.
What You ll Do Stakeholder Discovery and Partnership
Act as a trusted digital partner to business stakeholders, connecting business priorities with the right technology capabilities and delivery teams.
Build working relationships with global, regional and local stakeholders across commercial, medical, legal, privacy, compliance, regulatory, digital and technology functions.
Lead discovery discussions, workshops and stakeholder reviews to clarify needs, align expectations and drive decisions.
Translate between technical and non-technical audiences, and maintain a consolidated view of stakeholder needs, decisions, actions and dependencies across initiatives and markets.
Prepare concise updates, recommendations and decision materials for governance forums and leadership stakeholders.
Product Ownership
Define and maintain solution vision, objectives, roadmap, priorities and measurable success criteria with business and technology stakeholders.
Own and prioritize product backlogs, enhancement requests and delivery increments based on business value, user needs, risk and technical feasibility, and facilitate trade-off decisions across scope, timeline, cost, quality and dependencies.
Convert strategic objectives and user needs into epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria that delivery teams can execute.
Support release planning, demonstrations and feedback cycles, and keep product decisions aligned with enterprise architecture, approved platforms, data standards and governance expectations.
Business Analysis and Process Design
Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, functional and non-functional requirements, and keep them traceable from business need through delivery and acceptance.
Map current-state and future-state processes, user journeys, workflows and business rules, and carry out gap and impact analyses.
Work with solution architects, developers, designers and vendors to clarify requirements and support solution design.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience or automate work, and support business cases and option assessments where required.
Delivery, Vendors and Rollout
Coordinate delivery across client stakeholders, technology teams, external vendors and implementation partners, and support Agile planning and execution as appropriate to the delivery model.
Track and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and cross-team dependencies, and facilitate corrective action when delivery is at risk.
Coordinate user acceptance testing, defect triage, business readiness, rollout and handover to support or product operations.
Help establish ownership, governance cadence and escalation routes after launch.
AI-Enabled Solutions
Support the design, delivery and improvement of AI-enabled and conversational digital experiences, working with business, content and technical stakeholders on user journeys, trusted knowledge sources, conversational requirements, guardrails and monitoring.
Contribute to responsible AI, privacy, security, compliance, response-quality and content-governance work.
Support localization and market-readiness activities across countries and stakeholder groups.
What You Bring Product Ownership and Business Analysis
7+ years of relevant experience across product ownership, business analysis, digital product management, digital transformation, technology consulting or digital solution delivery, covering both product ownership and business analysis.
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Digital Innovation or a related discipline. An equivalent mix of education and professional experience will also be considered.
Hands-on experience eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and functional requirements.
Experience defining product priorities, maintaining a backlog and supporting digital solutions through discovery, delivery, testing, launch and improvement.
Experience supporting AI-enabled or conversational solutions, and fluency in using AI tools in your own analysis and documentation work.
Working knowledge of Agile product delivery practices and common collaboration and backlog-management tools.
Stakeholders and Delivery
Experience acting as the link between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams, managing multiple stakeholders, workstreams and competing priorities in a complex or matrixed organization.
Experience coordinating internal teams with external vendors or implementation partners.
Able to work independently, create structure in ambiguous situations and influence decisions without direct authority.
Communication
Strong written and verbal English, with facilitation and presentation skills suited to senior stakeholders.
Able to deliver training to groups, online or on site.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Skills / Experience
A background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or another regulated industry.
Experience working with global, geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
Product or delivery experience with customer-facing platforms, web products, content-driven solutions, workflow automation or digital ecosystems.
Certifications such as PSPO, CSPO, SAFe POPM or PMI-ACP for product ownership and Agile; CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA for business analysis; or AI product, generative AI or responsible AI credentials such as PSPO-AI Essentials, or equivalent.
