ORIGINAL JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Job
Company Description C3S places senior engineers and specialists into client teams on a flexible basis. We're hiring on behalf of a global life sciences client. This is a remote, long term role based in Egypt.
Role Description We are seeking an experienced IT Product Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives supporting Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehouse Management, and Order-to-Cash (O2C) capabilities.
This role serves as the key connection point between the Business Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, technology delivery teams, and business stakeholders. The IT Product Manager is accountable for ensuring that business priorities are clearly understood, translated into actionable technology initiatives, and delivered in a coordinated and predictable manner.
This is not a hands-on technical ownership role. The successful candidate does not need to design the technical solution or act as the technical architect. Instead, they should have enough technical understanding to effectively work with the Technical Product Owner and technology teams, understand dependencies and risks, facilitate decisions, and ensure that business objectives are achieved.
The ideal candidate brings strong product management and project delivery skills, combined with practical functional knowledge of distribution, warehouse management, fulfillment, and the Order-to-Cash process.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Delivery Management
Act as the primary IT coordination point between the Business Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, and technology delivery teams.
Partner with the Business Product Owner to understand business objectives, priorities, requirements, and desired outcomes.
Work with the Technical Product Owner to understand technical approaches, dependencies, constraints, risks, and delivery considerations.
Translate business priorities into clear technology initiatives, features, milestones, and delivery plans.
Manage overall delivery timelines, dependencies, scope, risks, issues, and priorities.
Facilitate alignment across business and technology stakeholders and ensure timely decisions.
Track delivery progress and proactively identify issues that may impact scope, schedule, quality, or business outcomes.
Establish and maintain an effective delivery cadence, including status meetings, planning sessions, risk reviews, and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate multiple teams and workstreams to ensure initiatives move forward in a structured and predictable manner.
Support prioritization and sequencing of initiatives based on business value, urgency, dependencies, and technology capacity.
Ensure that business expectations and technology delivery plans remain aligned throughout the product lifecycle.
Business & Functional Understanding
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Supply Chain and Distribution business processes.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse operations.
Understand the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, including:
Order creation and management
Inventory availability and allocation
Order fulfillment
Picking and packing
Shipping and delivery
Invoicing
Returns
Payment and financial settlement
Understand how WMS, ERP, Order Management, Transportation, eCommerce, and other enterprise systems interact to support the O2C process.
Help business and technology teams identify process impacts, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure that functional requirements and business priorities are sufficiently clear for the technical team to estimate and deliver.
Technical Coordination
Work closely with the Technical Product Owner without assuming technical ownership.
Understand technical concepts such as system integrations, APIs, interfaces, data flows, environments, and application dependencies at a level necessary for effective product and delivery management.
Coordinate technical dependencies across applications and delivery teams.
Ensure technical risks, constraints, and decisions are communicated effectively to business stakeholders.
Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams when requirements, priorities, or solution options need clarification.
Support resolution of cross-team issues and escalate decisions when required.
Coordinate testing, UAT, deployment, cutover, and go-live activities from a product and delivery perspective.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong working relationships with Business Product Owners, Technical Product Owners, business SMEs, architects, developers, QA teams, vendors, and IT leadership.
Create transparency between business and technology regarding priorities, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery status.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders with different business and technical perspectives.
Drive accountability for actions, decisions, and deliverables across participating teams.
Prepare clear and concise executive-level status reporting and product updates.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience in IT product management, IT project management, technology delivery, or a related role.
Experience coordinating complex technology initiatives involving both business and technical teams.
Strong experience managing scope, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.
Strong functional understanding of Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehouse Management, and Order-to-Cash processes.
Experience working with WMS, ERP, OMS, TMS, or related Supply Chain applications.
Demonstrated ability to operate between business and technology teams and translate business needs into actionable technology requirements.
Strong communication, facilitation, prioritization, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to understand technical concepts without being the technical solution owner.
Preferred Experience
Experience with WMS platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, or similar.
Experience in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or eCommerce environments.
Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid product delivery environments.
Experience managing products or platforms with multiple upstream and downstream system dependencies.
Experience working with third-party technology vendors and implementation partners.
PMP, Product Management, Scrum, or Agile certification is a plus.
The IT Product Manager is primarily accountable for:
Business-to-technology alignment
Product and delivery coordination
Prioritization and planning
Scope, timeline, risk, and dependency management
Stakeholder communication
Business outcome alignment
Coordinating Business Product Owner and Technical Product Owner activities
Ensuring successful delivery of product capabilities
The role should be able to understand technology without being the technology owner and understand the business process deeply enough to ensure that technology delivery solves the right business problem.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong IT Product Manager who understands Supply Chain. They can engage confidently with business leaders and Product Owners while also working effectively with technical teams.
They understand the end-to-end Order-to-Cash journey, have practical knowledge of distribution and warehouse operations, and can connect business priorities to technology delivery. They are highly organized, proactive in managing risks and dependencies, comfortable driving cross-functional teams, and skilled at bringing business and technical stakeholders together to make decisions and deliver outcomes.
