ORIGINAL JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Job

WordPress Website Designer & Developer BEFORE YOU APPLY This role requires a portfolio and a Loom video. Applications without both will not be reviewed. This is a design role and a build role. Both — not one or the other. We are not looking for someone who waits for a finished Figma file and clicks it together. We are looking for a designer who can take a client's brand kit, a stack of inspiration sites, and a page of approved copy, and create an original, modern, conversion-focused design from a blank canvas — then build it in Bricks Builder themselves. - If you have never designed a website from scratch, this is not your role. - If you design beautiful sites but cannot build them in Bricks, this is not your role. - If you can do both, keep reading. Those people are rare, and we know it. THE BASICS Location: Fully remote, based in Egypt ABOUT US We help small business owners stop wasting money on marketing that does not work and start winning with clear messaging, high-converting websites, and systems that actually grow their business. Our websites are built to do one thing well: turn visitors into leads and customers. We are not a "make it look pretty and hope" agency. We care about strategy, clarity, performance, and results. We are adding a WordPress Website Designer & Developer who shares that mindset and has a sharp eye for clean, conversion-focused design. WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE You own client websites end to end — from the first blank artboard to the live, fast, fully integrated site. A typical project runs like this: 1. The client sends their branding assets and 2 to 5 inspiration websites with notes on what they like. 2. Our strategy team delivers the message, the page structure, and all of the copy. 3. From there it is yours. You decide the layout, the visual system, the typography, the spacing, the imagery, the motion, and how every section looks and feels. 4. You build the whole thing in WordPress using Bricks Builder and make it work flawlessly on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You are not decorating a template. You are designing something original for that specific business, then building it yourself so nothing gets lost in translation. Alongside new builds, you keep existing client sites fast, secure, and stable. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Original Design — the part we care most about - Create original website designs from scratch for each client, based on their brand, industry, audience, and inspiration references. - Make real design decisions: layout, hierarchy, typography, color application, spacing, imagery direction, and interaction. - Treat inspiration references as direction, not as something to copy. Clients should get something that feels made for them. - Design custom assets as needed — icons, graphics, banners, illustrations, section visuals — in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or your tool of choice. - Present and explain your design decisions clearly to the internal team and, when needed, to the client. 2. Build — WordPress and Bricks Builder - Build every design you create in WordPress using Bricks Builder, at an expert level. - Translate approved strategy and copy into clean, conversion-focused layouts that hold up on desktop, tablet, and mobile. - Rebuild sites made in other builders and migrate them to Bricks. - Create and manage staging and testing environments for new sites and major updates. - Keep builds clean, organized, reusable, and easy for the next person to work in. 3. Maintenance and Optimization - Update and maintain existing client WordPress and Bricks sites. - Manage plugins responsibly: updates, replacements, and removal of outdated or broken plugins. - Audit sites for technical issues — broken forms, bad code, outdated plugins, performance problems. - Hold the line on site speed, security, backups, and overall stability. 4. Hosting, Migrations, and Launches - Move WordPress sites between hosting providers safely and correctly. - Work confidently with hosting environments and basic server considerations. - Connect domains, manage DNS changes, and run smooth site launches. 5. Integrations and Tracking - Integrate WordPress sites with third-party tools using platforms like Zapier. - Set up and manage Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. - Make sure every form and lead capture tool is properly connected and tested. 6. Communication and Collaboration - Communicate clearly and proactively with the internal team. - Ask smart questions when something is unclear instead of guessing. - Give realistic timelines and honest progress updates. - Take feedback well and use it to make the final product better. WHAT YOU NEED (must-have) Design - Proven experience designing websites from scratch, not just building from someone else's design. Your portfolio must show sites where you made the design decisions. - Strong eye for layout, spacing, typography, and visual hierarchy. - Ability to follow branding guidelines and inspiration while still making smart, original design decisions. - Solid understanding of responsive and mobile-first design. - Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma. Build and technical - Expert-level experience with WordPress and Bricks Builder. - Experience maintaining WordPress sites and managing plugins safely. - Experience migrating WordPress sites between hosts. - Ability to audit and troubleshoot WordPress issues. - Comfortable integrating third-party tools and tracking systems. Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. NICE TO HAVE - Familiarity with GoHighLevel (big plus). - Experience embedding or integrating GoHighLevel tools into WordPress sites (huge plus). - Experience working with marketing agencies or service-based businesses. - Real understanding of conversion-focused design, not just aesthetics. - Basic understanding of SEO-friendly site structure. - Comfort with light custom CSS or JavaScript when Bricks alone will not get there. HOW TO APPLY Send the following to abdelrahmanmofeed@virtualworkernow.com. Applications missing either item will not be reviewed. 1. Portfolio — showing sites where you made the design decisions yourself, not just the build. Note which ones you designed from scratch and which you built in Bricks. 2. Loom video — walk through one project from the portfolio and explain your design decisions: why that layout, that type, that hierarchy, and how you got from the client's inspiration references to something original.
