Role Description The Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing mechanical designs, drawings, and technical documentation for projects, ensuring compliance with standards and client specifications. The engineer coordinates with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements, support procurement, and resolve mechanical issues. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing mechanical systems, preparing material take-offs and cost estimates, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and providing technical support during installation and commissioning. The role also involves contributing to quality assurance processes, supporting preventive maintenance planning, and participating in project progress reviews and reporting. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance to support mechanical systems across projects. Candidates should possess solid capabilities in Preventive Maintenance to help plan and implement maintenance schedules that minimize downtime. Candidates should possess practical experience in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in Maintenance & Repair to carry out or oversee corrective actions on mechanical equipment. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Several years of experience in technical office or mechanical engineering roles, preferably in construction, industrial, or project-based environments. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, standards, and codes, with proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools). Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts, with strong analytical and documentation skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
