About the Project:
Phoenix Carbon is an advanced composite materials enterprise expanding its R&D operations. We are currently opening a competitive tender for a highly specialized, short-term virtual engineering project. The scope involves the structural validation of a high-performance, multi-material automotive assembly subject to extreme dynamic loads.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform advanced non-linear structural FEA on complex metal-to-composite assemblies.
Validate dynamic load cases (including severe transient torque and high-impact scenarios).
Conduct thermal differential analysis focusing on CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion) mismatches under braking heat (up to 200°C).
Develop an optimized, ply-by-ply composite layup schedule utilizing anisotropic material properties.
Provide monolithic tooling design (DFM) integrating soluble core washout strategies.
Required Expertise:
Proven experience in aerospace, motorsport, or advanced automotive composites.
Mastery of industry-standard composite simulation solvers (e.g., Ansys Composite PrepPost, Abaqus, or HyperWorks).
Deep understanding of multi-metal/CFRP interfaces, galvanic isolation, and specialized zonal reinforcement.
How to Apply: Please include your 2-3 sentence answer to the technical question in your Cover Letter, or send it via Direct Message immediately after applying.
What is your preferred structural and simulation approach to mitigating galvanic corrosion and CTE mismatch in a co-cured Titanium-CFRP joint operating under high mechanical stress at 200°C?
(Note: Applications without a direct technical response to this question will be automatically filtered out).
