The Senior Structural Design Engineer leads the structural design process for complex projects, delivering technical expertise and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. The role requires a strong background in structural analysis and design, proficiency in design software, and experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and calculations submitted by external design consultants. Provide technical input during land acquisition and feasibility stages, including preliminary assessments of structural systems and cost implications. Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to ensure structural designs align with overall project objectives, cost targets, and timelines. Evaluate and recommend structural systems that are cost-effective, buildable, and compliant with local codes. Job Specification (qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural design engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and analysis software. Strong knowledge of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
