مراقبة تسجيل جميع الأصناف المعتمدة كمخزون وفق بطاقة الصنف باستخدام الحاسب الالى. يتولى مراقبة تصنيف المواد وأماكن تواجدها في المستودع وترتيبها حسب صلاحيتها يتولى مراقبة حركة الصنف و سرعة دورانه، مع ضرورة التعرف على الأصناف الراكدة منها. تحديد جميع مستويات المخزون من الأصناف(الحد الأعلى، الأدنى، مخزون الأمان و نقطة إعادة الطلب) للتمكن من الحصول على الاحتياجات في الوقت اللازم و تجنب الفائض من المخزون. التأكد من أن جميع الأصناف المعتمدة للتخزين مسجلة بموجب بطاقة الصنف والتأكد من احتوائها على جميع المعلومات الخاصة بالصنف بما في ذلك المعلومات الخاصة بالموردين المعتمدين لتوريد هذا الصنف وآخر سعر اعتمد، كذلك الكمية الموجودة مقارنة بالمصروفة. اخطار المسؤولين في المصنع عن الأصناف الراكدة من أجل إيجاد الحل المناسب لذلك. التأكد من ترتيب الأصناف في المستودع حسب التصنيف المعتمد والمكان المخصص لها وتاريخ صلاحية الصرف لها إذا كان هناك تاريخ صلاحية. إعداد التقارير اللازمة عن مراقبة وجرد المخزون الدورية منها والطارئة وعرضها على المسؤولين لأخذ التوجيه المناسب لذلك.
