Job purpose As Senior Specialist – People Operations, you’ll help create a great employee experience for our technology team in Cairo. You’ll be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, bringing care and clarity to everything from onboarding and performance reviews to employee relations and payroll. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships and making sure the details are done right. What you’ll do Coordinate goal setting, mid-year and year-end performance reviews, and support managers with performance conversations. Prepare the data, market inputs and budget tracking needed for annual compensation and promotion reviews. Support talent reviews, development plans and succession planning, and flag retention concerns across technical teams. Handle day-to-day employee relations matters with care and discretion, escalating complex cases when needed. Manage onboarding, probation reviews, contract changes and offboarding, including exit interviews and final settlements. Run monthly Egypt payroll alongside the Total Rewards team, checking inputs and outputs to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Keep employee records and HR systems accurate, and ensure processes comply with Egyptian labour, tax and social insurance requirements. Work closely with technology leaders and the wider People team to provide reliable local support. What we’re looking for At least 5 years of HR generalist or People Operations experience in Egypt, with experience taking ownership of HR processes or projects. Hands-on experience running Egypt payroll, performance management and compensation review cycles. Strong working knowledge of Egyptian labour law, tax and social insurance requirements. Experience supporting technology or engineering teams is a strong advantage. Confidence using HRIS and payroll systems, with excellent attention to detail. A thoughtful, approachable style and sound judgement when handling sensitive matters. Fluency in Arabic and English, and a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or a related field.
