Civil Cost Control Engineer

Role Description The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and forecasting project costs to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget. The role includes cost tracking, budget management, cost analysis, and providing accurate financial insights to support project decision-making. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and manage Variation Orders (VOs) and cost claims. * Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle. * Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost reports, and forecasts. * Track actual costs against approved budgets and analyze cost variances. * Track and forecast Cost at Completion (CAC/EAC) to ensure accurate project cost projections. * Monitor cost-to-complete status and update forecasts based on project progress, commitments, and remaining works. * Prepare monthly cost control reports and provide updates on project financial performance. * Review project expenses, subcontractor invoices, and payment applications. * Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost monitoring. * Identify potential cost risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget compliance. * Assist in cost estimation, budget preparation, and cost optimization initiatives. * Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Construction background is mandatory). * Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, BOQs, contracts, and cost management. * Experience in cost tracking, forecasting, and project financial reporting. * Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control tools/software. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and coordination skills.
