Cost & Inventory Control Accountant

Ensure accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of project costs and inventory by monitoring material usage, reconciling inventory records, analyzing cost variances, and providing reliable financial data to support decision-making and project profitability, while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Responsibilities: Monitor and record project costs, material usage, and inventory movements accurately in the financial system. Reconcile inventory balances, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation. Analyze cost and inventory variances related to materials, projects, and operations. Support project budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate cost and inventory data. Prepare cost and inventory reports, including valuation, aging, and utilization reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies related to cost and inventory. Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to maintain accurate inventory and cost records. Qualifications: 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in cost accounting or inventory control. Experience in stock control, inventory valuation, and cost analysis. Familiarity with inventory counting (cycle counts / physical counts) and reconciliation processes. Experience in working with operations, warehouse, or production environments is preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (cash flow analysis, financial modeling, dashboards). Proficiency in ERP systems such as Odoo, or similar platforms for inventory and cost tracking.
