Role Description The Electrical Engineer will work on the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on reliability, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This contract role involves preparing electrical drawings and calculations, specifying equipment, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and coordinating with civil, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure integrated solutions. The position is based in Cairo as a hybrid role, with primary work at project sites or the company office and some tasks that can be performed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical issues, assisting in tender and proposal preparation, participating in site inspections, and contributing to technical documentation and reports. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of industrial and infrastructure applications. Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including developing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess skills in Power Distribution and Power Systems, with experience in low- and medium-voltage networks relevant to water and wastewater facilities. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects, ideally within the water and wastewater sector. Knowledge of relevant Egyptian and international electrical codes and standards. Proficiency with electrical design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP or similar tools). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
