Backend Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our cross-functional team. You will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining robust web applications and services, writing clean code based on business requirements, and helping solve technical challenges. Key Responsibilities: Development & Architecture: Write, test, and deploy clean, professional, and well-documented PHP code based on business logic and requirements. Problem Solving & Research: Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain core product software and databases, while researching new technologies to improve our tech stack. Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct functional and non-functional testing to ensure high performance and application integrity before deployment. Collaboration: Work smoothly in an Agile/Scrum cross-functional team, participate in requirements analysis, software design, and give occasional team presentations. Documentation: Develop clear technical documents, handbooks, and code documentation to support team knowledge sharing. Technical Requirements: Core Skills: 3+ years of experience as a PHP developer/programmer, with solid knowledge of PHP and MySQL (both design and querying). Frameworks & Open Source: Experience with modern PHP frameworks (specifically Symfony) and open-source platform web development. Web Services & Frontend Basics: Familiarity with web services integration (REST, SOAP, XML, XSL), JavaScript (jQuery), and AJAX. Servers & Cloud: Experience working with NGINX, Apache, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Tools: Familiarity with project management and version control tools (e.g., Jira, Git). Experience & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
