Role Description: Responsible for monitoring project financial performance, budgets, costs, revenues, and profitability. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, forecasting, invoicing follow-up, and coordination with internal teams to support effective financial control and decision-making. Responsibilities - Project Financial Monitoring: Monitor project costs, revenues, budgets, and overall financial performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring visibility of the project’s financial position. - Budget Monitoring & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and actual costs against approved financial targets, track cost consumption, and highlight any significant variances or deviations. - Financial Forecasting: Monitor financial trends and prepare/maintain project financial forecasts based on actual performance, expected costs, revenues, and resource utilization. - Project Profitability Monitoring: Monitor project profitability, GP, cost consumption, and resource utilization, and highlight profitability risks, trends, and variances. - Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze project financial data and provide regular financial reports, dashboards, summaries, and management updates covering revenue, costs, collections, forecasts, and profitability. - Project & Accounting Coordination: Coordinate with Project Management, Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to monitor and validate project-related financial information and ensure alignment between operational and financial data. - Invoicing & Revenue Monitoring: Monitor project milestones, invoicing status, revenue recognition, collections, and outstanding financial actions, and follow up on pending items with the relevant teams. - Commercial Financial Monitoring: Review and provide financial input on quotations, pricing, budgets, proposals, and project-related commercial activities when required. - Financial Risk & Variance Monitoring: Monitor financial and operational risks, investigate significant variances, identify potential financial impacts, and flag areas requiring corrective action. - Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, gaps, cost drivers, cost-saving opportunities, and potential improvements in project profitability. - Documentation & Financial Governance: Monitor the completeness and accuracy of project-related financial records, supporting documents, and financial tracking, in line with established processes and requirements. - Management Financial Support: Provide management with financial analysis, forecasts, trends, and insights to support decision-making, resource planning, and strategic/commercial objectives. - Project Financial Closure Monitoring: Monitor the financial closure of projects, including final cost review, revenue reconciliation, invoicing status, outstanding balances, and final profitability assessment.
