Role Description The Senior Cost Accountant role at Smile Pack is a full-time, on-site position based in Ţanţā. This role is responsible for managing and analyzing cost data related to production, inventory, and operations, and for preparing accurate cost reports to support decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining cost accounting records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling cost accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Cost Accountant will analyze variances, monitor standard costs, and collaborate with operations, finance, and management to optimize cost efficiency. The role also involves contributing to budgeting and forecasting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and continuously improving cost accounting processes and controls. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Cost Accounting with experience in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory costing. Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret Financial Statements to support management reporting and decision-making. Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting cost data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. Experience in recording and reviewing Journal Entries (Accounting) and supporting accurate general ledger maintenance. Solid foundation in Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis related to operations. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a manufacturing or production environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site. Prior experience in cost accounting within manufacturing, packaging, or a similar industry is highly beneficial. Show more
