The work environment values safety, integrity, and clear communication in all project phases. Role Description The Civil Engineer role at Jet is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing civil engineering plans for infrastructure projects, including site layouts, utilities, and stormwater systems. Daily activities include preparing design calculations, drawings, and technical reports; coordinating with project managers, architects, and other engineers; and ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and client requirements. The role also involves monitoring project progress, supporting construction teams with technical guidance, and resolving design-related issues in the field. The Civil Engineer will participate in planning meetings, contribute to cost and schedule estimates, and help maintain quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and Civil Engineering Design, including infrastructure, site development, and utility systems. Experience working as part of a team of Civil Engineers, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project stakeholders. Skills in Planning and project coordination, including scheduling, resource allocation, and understanding of permitting processes. Practical experience or solid understanding of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related hydrology/hydraulics concepts. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional registration or progress toward licensure is an advantage. Proficiency with industry-standard design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar), and familiarity with relevant codes and standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills, with the ability to produce clear drawings and reports. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to project deadlines and changing priorities. Show more
