We're looking for a Middle Software Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to join our engineering team and help us build reliable, scalable and maintainable cloud-based applications. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, designing robust cloud solutions and translating business requirements into well-structured software, with a strong emphasis on data modelling and domain modelling. ☁️ What you'll be working on 🔹 Developing, deploying and maintaining applications on Microsoft Azure. 🔹 Building backend services and APIs using Python. 🔹 Developing modern frontend applications with React. 🔹 Designing and managing relational data models using PostgreSQL. 🔹 Working with Azure services to support application hosting, integration, monitoring and deployment. 🔹 Applying cloud development best practices around scalability, reliability, security and performance. 🔹 Translating business requirements into clear domain models and maintainable software architectures. 🔹 Implementing automated testing and contributing to CI/CD pipelines. 🔹 Troubleshooting application and cloud-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. 🔹 Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives. 🛠️ Our tech stack • Microsoft Azure ☁️ • Python • React • PostgreSQL • Git, CI/CD and automated testing ✨ What we're looking for ✅ Professional experience developing applications with Python. ✅ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development. ✅ Experience building frontend applications with React. ✅ Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL and relational database design. ✅ Strong data modelling and domain modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into well-designed data structures. ✅ Understanding of APIs, software architecture and application security. ✅ Experience with automated testing, Git and modern development workflows. ✅ A structured approach to problem solving and a collaborative mindset. 🌱 Nice to have Experience with Azure services for application hosting, serverless computing, storage, monitoring and messaging; Infrastructure as Code; Docker; TypeScript; Domain-Driven Design (DDD); and cloud-based CI/CD pipelines. 🤖 AI in our engineering workflow We encourage the responsible use of AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot to support coding, testing, debugging and technical research. 🤝 The kind of engineer we're looking for We're not looking for someone who simply ticks every box.
