Safety Officer

We are looking for a Safety Officer to join our team at City Gate Project – Compound Phase on a daily/sarki basis. Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance with project HSE rules, procedures, and safety requirements. Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure proper use of PPE. Inspect scaffolding, ladders, access ways, work platforms, and temporary structures. Monitor work at height, excavation, lifting activities, hot work, and other high-risk activities. Ensure proper barricading, warning signs, and edge/opening protection are in place. Monitor housekeeping and safe material storage. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings when required. Report and follow up on unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents. Stop unsafe work when there is an immediate risk to workers or property. Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors regarding HSE matters. Maintain daily safety inspection records and reports. Requirements: Previous experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects. Good knowledge of HSE procedures and construction safety requirements. Ability to identify hazards and take immediate corrective action. Good communication and reporting skills. HSE/Safety certificates are preferred.
