Backend .NET Engineer – Shopify ERP, Operations Automation & API Integrations

Role Description This full-time, on-site Backend .NET Engineer role at Malabisy is based in Nasr City and focuses on building and maintaining ERP, operations automation, and API integration solutions for our Shopify-based commerce ecosystem. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing backend services using .NET Core and ASP.NET Core, building secure and scalable APIs, and integrating Shopify with third-party systems such as logistics and courier platforms. The role will involve developing order lifecycle management, purchase order and receiving workflows, AWB generation, order cancellation and status updates, as well as automated synchronization between systems. The engineer will work closely with operations, marketing, product, and front-end teams to understand business workflows, automate manual processes, and improve data flow across the company's systems. The role also includes implementing authentication, role-based permissions, audit logs, webhooks, background jobs, error handling, and system monitoring. The engineer will troubleshoot and optimize existing systems, ensure backend performance and reliability, participate in code reviews and testing, maintain technical documentation, and contribute to system architecture and continuous improvement of development practices. Qualifications Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general programming skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code. Hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core for building backend services and RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of ASP.NET Web API and experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience integrating with third-party APIs, including authentication, webhooks, error handling, data synchronization, and API performance optimization. Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including database design, relationships, queries, and basic data modeling. Experience with Entity Framework Core or similar ORM technologies. Understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based permissions, and audit logging. Experience implementing background jobs, scheduled tasks, automated synchronization, and webhook-based workflows. Experience with Git and familiarity with deployment and production environments. Understanding of ERP systems, inventory, purchasing, order management, or operations workflows is a strong advantage. Experience working with Shopify APIs is a strong advantage. Experience integrating with courier/logistics APIs such as Bosta, Logestechs, or similar platforms is a strong advantage. Familiarity with SignalR, Azure, Docker, Redis, message queues, or similar technologies is a plus. Ability to understand business requirements and translate operational workflows into reliable backend systems. Ability to work on-site in Nasr City, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
