Technical Sales Trainee

Role Description The Technical Sales Trainee is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cairo, Egypt, with some flexibility for working from home. The trainee will support the sales team by learning product lines, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and assisting with customer presentations and demonstrations. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, coordinating with technical support and operations teams, and helping to identify customer needs and match them with appropriate solutions. The role involves maintaining accurate sales documentation, tracking opportunities in the CRM system, and supporting follow-ups to ensure timely quotations and order closure. The trainee will receive guidance and training in technical sales methods, product knowledge, and industry standards to grow into an independent sales professional. Qualifications: Fluent English is a MUST. Candidates should possess strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with an interest in developing solution-based selling capabilities. Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to engage professionally with clients and internal teams. Candidates should possess foundational Technical Support skills and the ability to understand and explain technical products and services. Relevant degree Petroleum Engineering (drilling/production). Basic understanding of upstream and midstream oil and gas operations, or a strong willingness to learn. Proficiency in MS Office with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
