عن الوظيفة

About The Role This mid-level role is for a consultant who has moved past the basics and is ready to manage a fuller portfolio of institutional and journal clients with less day-to-day oversight. Accounts at this level often include Premier-tier institutions with higher-touch expectations, sometimes including in-person engagement, alongside a steady base of established journal relationships. You will take on new client onboarding from the ground up when it comes your way, and you will be trusted to resolve most issues, technical or relational, without needing a manager in the loop. This role also suits someone whose interests lean toward account management, project management, or specialized publishing work, since much of the day-to-day builds those skills. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of institutional and journal clients end to end: onboarding, ongoing support, and renewal conversations. Lead new client launches independently, including Premier accounts with higher service expectations. Guide editors and librarians through editorial workflow questions and platform best practices, drawing on solid working knowledge of academic publishing. Troubleshoot technical issues directly, including HTML/CSS work, before escalating. Coordinate with Sales and Account Management colleagues on client status and account health, and flag concerns clearly and early. Support and share knowledge with entry-level colleagues as opportunities arise. Requirements Fluent in Arabic and English, comfortable moving between day-to-day client conversations and more formal written communication. Solid, hands-on experience in academic publishing or a closely related customer-facing field. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts independently, with sound judgment about when to escalate versus resolve directly. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS. Around 3 to 4 years in a customer-facing role, ideally including exposure to academic publishing, Editorial Manager, or Digital Commons. Bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with XML and APIs. Interest in AI tools and how they are being applied to editorial and research integrity workflows. Interest in growing toward account management, project management, or a mentorship-oriented path. About Digital Commons Digital Commons is Elsevier's hosted repository platform, used by faculty, researchers, and students at hundreds of institutions worldwide to publish and track the impact of their scholarly work.
