We are committed to: Excellence Responsibility Empowerment Connectivity Courage About the Role Job Purpose The role of the AI Automation Engineer at Dar will be to design and implement intelligent automation solutions that enhance productivity, reduce manual processes, and improve accuracy across design, construction, and operations. They integrate AI, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA) and/or automation tools, apply optimization techniques, to optimize project workflows and decision-making. Responsibilities Develop and deploy AI-driven automation applications for design, construction, and operations workflows. Identify repetitive or data-heavy business processes suitable for automation across AEC operations. Integrate AI automation applications/tools with BIM, CAD, project management and AI platforms. Collaborate with engineers, architects, computational designers, and data teams to align automation with business needs. Maintain and optimize automation pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability. Research and implement emerging AI automation technologies relevant to AEC project delivery and business operations. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Automation Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. 1-3 years professional experience applying optimization techniques to workflows, is preferred Must have 1-3 years professional experience applying machine learning techniques: computer vision, reinforcement learning, graph networks, etc in professional settings. Must be familiar with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) Must have proficiency in Python and C#/C/C++. JavaScript is a plus. Must have Experience integrating APIs and developing automation pipelines. Experience in custom APIs development is preferred Experience developing pipelines for data extraction, transformation and loading, is preferred Experience deploying automation applications in production environments is preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills is a must. Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., RPA platforms, or custom APIs) is a plus. Familiarity with AEC tools (Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Navisworks) is a plus. Preferred Skills JavaScript is a plus.
