Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Cairo. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems to meet performance, safety, and cost requirements. Daily activities include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings and CAD models, performing calculations, selecting materials, and collaborating with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and compliant with company standards. The role also involves participating in project planning, supporting installation and commissioning activities, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Mechanical Engineer will document work clearly, report progress to project leads, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to keep projects on schedule. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Mechanical Engineering, including solid understanding of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes. Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design, with experience in designing components, assemblies, and mechanisms that meet functional and safety requirements. Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), with proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting using common engineering software tools. Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, including planning tasks, managing timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and tracking deliverables. Candidates should possess skills in Research and Development (R&D), such as exploring new technologies, improving existing designs, and testing prototypes to validate performance. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Beneficial skills include familiarity with industry standards and codes, experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA), and knowledge of manufacturing and quality control processes.
