Position: Procurement Section Head – Local & Foreign Procurement Location: 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt Department: Supply Chain Employment Type: Full-Time About Auto Plast EL Alameya For Car Plastics – Auto Plast is a manufacturing company specializing in plastic products and customized packaging solutions. We are committed to operational excellence, quality, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across our business operations. We are looking for an experienced Procurement Section Head to lead our local and foreign procurement activities, strengthen supplier relationships, optimize purchasing costs, and ensure the timely availability of materials and services required to support our manufacturing operations. Job Purpose The Procurement Section Head will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's local and international purchasing activities, ensuring the right materials and services are sourced at the right quality, cost, and time, while maintaining compliance with approved budgets, procurement policies, and authorization limits. Key Responsibilities Procurement Planning & Execution Develop and execute procurement plans based on approved requirements, production plans, and inventory needs. Review purchase requisitions to ensure completeness, accurate specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates. Prioritize purchasing activities according to operational criticality and production continuity requirements. Local & Foreign Procurement Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, spare parts, production supplies, equipment, and services from local and international suppliers. Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations based on technical compliance, commercial terms, lead time, and total cost. Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery conditions, warranties, and other commercial terms. Manage purchase orders and follow up on order confirmation, delivery commitments, and fulfillment. Supplier Management & Development Identify, assess, qualify, and develop reliable suppliers and alternative sources. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness. Develop sourcing strategies for critical materials and reduce unnecessary dependency on single suppliers. Address supplier non-compliance and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments. Cost Optimization & Procurement Efficiency Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery performance. Analyze price trends, market conditions, and supplier quotations to support informed purchasing decisions. Monitor purchasing expenditure against approved budgets and report significant variances. Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles rather than focusing solely on purchase price. Importation & International Coordination Manage the procurement side of international purchasing transactions. Coordinate with international suppliers and the logistics team regarding shipment schedules, shipping documents, delivery terms, and import-related requirements. Monitor international orders and proactively address potential delays or supply risks. Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows, documentation requirements, and delegated authority limits. Prepare periodic reports on supplier performance, procurement savings, open purchase orders, urgent purchases, and supply risks. Lead and develop the procurement team, improve purchasing cycle time, and support process digitalization and Lean initiatives. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated experience in both local and foreign procurement. Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, quotation analysis, cost control, and purchase order management. Practical understanding of importation procedures, international shipping documentation, and Incoterms. Good command of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with Odoo or similar systems is an advantage. Good command of English, particularly for international supplier communication and commercial correspondence. Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. About the job Coordinate and support Frozen Bites for Food Industries' international export operations, ensuring the accurate preparation of export documentation, efficient shipment coordination, and timely execution of export orders.
