Freelancing Opportunity :- We are hiring a Pod Lead – Civil & Structural Engineering for a short-term Frontier AI Research, Terminal Bench Science & Engineering Evaluation project across the following locations: Eligible Locations: 🇧🇩 Bangladesh | 🇧🇷 Brazil | 🇨🇴 Colombia | 🇪🇬 Egypt | 🇬🇭 Ghana | 🇮🇳 India | 🇮🇩 Indonesia | 🇰🇪 Kenya | 🇳🇬 Nigeria | 🇹🇷 Turkey | 🇻🇳 Vietnam | Argentina Role: Pod Lead – Civil & Structural Engineering Educational Eligibility : PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline Mode: Remote Start: Immediate Duration: 4 Weeks Mandatory Eligibility Criteria Technical Qualification: PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical expertise in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field. Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Julia, Fortran, or MATLAB/Octave, with proficiency in Linux environments. Hands-on expertise in at least one major area: Structural Analysis | Finite Element Analysis (FEA) | Earthquake Engineering | Geotechnical Modeling | Hydraulic/Hydrological Modeling. Strong understanding of engineering principles, numerical methods, simulation workflows, and computational model validation. Working knowledge of engineering design standards such as ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, or IS Codes. Experience reviewing complex technical work, engineering simulations, research outputs, or computational models. Ability to identify technical inaccuracies, numerical errors, unrealistic assumptions, edge cases, and flawed engineering methodologies. Experience mentoring technical teams, reviewing deliverables, allocating tasks, and maintaining quality standards. Excellent written communication skills for providing precise technical feedback and documenting engineering requirements. Availability Minimum 40 hours per week. Availability to work at least 8 hours per day. Minimum 4 hours of overlap with PST business hours. What You’ll Work On Lead a pod of approximately 5–10 technical trainers developing realistic, terminal-based engineering tasks for Terminal Bench Science. Review engineering tasks end to end, including problem statements, structural and geotechnical models, load cases, simulation data, reference solutions, and automated tests. Validate tasks involving structural analysis, FEA, earthquake and wind engineering, structural dynamics, geotechnical modeling, hydraulics, hydrology, transportation, and infrastructure systems. Verify engineering accuracy across units, equilibrium, boundary conditions, load combinations, design codes, numerical stability, convergence, and safety factors. Validate computational models, solvers, dependencies, and simulation results for reproducibility and technical correctness. Review automated graders to ensure they accurately evaluate engineering outputs such as forces, deflections, drifts, settlements, factors of safety, flow rates, and structural performance. Ensure tasks require genuine multi-step engineering reasoning and reflect realistic engineering workflows. Identify technical errors, unrealistic assumptions, incorrect tolerances, and opportunities to bypass engineering analysis. Provide actionable feedback to task developers and track revisions through completion. Mentor trainers, allocate work, monitor quality and productivity, and resolve technical blockers.
