Full-Stack Engineer Employment type: Contract Workplace type: Remote Duration: 3 months with potential for extension About the Role We are an early-stage, stealth-mode startup building an AI-powered product at the intersection of real estate, technology, and digital workflows. Our founding team brings together expertise in real estate and law, applied AI and technology, and product design. We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Engineer to help build our MVP from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founding team, contribute to architectural and technical decisions, and take ownership of turning product requirements into a secure, reliable, production-ready application. This is an opportunity to help shape a product from its earliest stages, with meaningful ownership over engineering decisions and implementation. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy a full-stack web application from scratch. Build secure user accounts, authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access controls. Implement document management, PDF processing, and digital-signature workflows. Integrate third-party services and APIs, including electronic signature providers. Develop AI-powered features using modern LLM APIs. Design and implement backend services, database schemas, and cloud infrastructure. Ensure data security, privacy, auditability, and application reliability. Establish automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment workflows. Collaborate closely with the founding team to translate product requirements into technical solutions. Take ownership of delivery, from initial architecture through production deployment. Required Skills & Experience Strong full-stack development experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js. Backend development experience with Node.js/NestJS or Python/FastAPI. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design. Demonstrated experience building and launching production SaaS applications. Experience with multi-tenant architecture, data isolation, authentication, and authorization. Familiarity with MFA, OAuth/OIDC, and role-based access control (RBAC). Experience integrating third-party APIs and building reliable application workflows. Experience with document management, PDF processing, or electronic-signature integrations. Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs, such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic. Experience with Azure and modern deployment practices. Understanding of application security, testing, and maintainable software architecture. Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and deliver a functional MVP. Communication & Remote Collaboration Professional fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team environment. Comfortable collaborating asynchronously, providing regular progress updates, documenting technical decisions, and raising blockers proactively. Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage priorities and deliver milestones independently. Nice to Have Experience integrating DocuSign, Dropbox Sign, or Adobe Acrobat Sign. Experience with document AI, information extraction, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Experience building CRM, transaction-management, or workflow-automation functionality. Background in real estate technology, legal technology, or fintech. Experience working with early-stage startups or founding teams. What We're Looking For We're looking for an engineer who can do more than implement individual features. You should be comfortable making pragmatic architectural decisions, leveraging managed services where appropriate, and independently taking a product from concept to production. We value demonstrated execution, sound engineering judgment, product thinking, and the ability to move quickly without compromising security or quality. How to Apply Please include the following in your application: Portfolio: Links to relevant applications or products you have built. GitHub: Your GitHub profile or relevant code repositories, where available. Relevant experience: Briefly describe a SaaS application you personally helped build and launch, including your specific contributions. Show more
