Role Description The Planning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in 6th of October, responsible for coordinating and optimizing production and project schedules within the steel plant. The role involves gathering and analyzing operational data, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. The Planning Engineer collaborates closely with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of products. Location: 6 October City, Giza Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize production plans to maximize the utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials while minimizing delays. Coordinate production sequences based on product types and manufacturing requirements. Determine workforce requirements for each department in coordination with the Production Manager. Prepare shift schedules, monitor daily production output, and take corrective actions to address deviations. Coordinate material procurement and issuance to ensure the timely availability of required materials and spare parts. Minimize material waste and improve resource utilization through effective production planning. Collaborate with Production and Quality Control teams to ensure product quality and compliance with customer specifications. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2–4 years of relevant experience in production planning.
